Research Association for Roads, Earthworks and Tunnelling Aachen e.V.
The research association SETAC e. V. promotes and operates the scientific exchange of ideas in the fields of road planning and road design, earth and road construction, road operation and transport technology (transport and operation) as well as tunnel construction and operation. Through its activities, the SETAC connects the network of research and teaching with the administration and construction practice.
Regular events such as the annual Aachen Road Construction and Traffic Days (ASVT) and the Aachen Symposium on Road Engineering (AFSS) on current topics are intended to promote the exchange of ideas between research, practice and teaching. In this way, current practical experience and problems can flow directly into research, but also into teaching. Furthermore, the events aim to use current research results in practice.
