Long Lasting Concrete Ceilings - Acoustic Optimization
Acoustic Optimization of Concrete Surfaces by Texturing the Concrete
By means of theoretical approaches and computer simulations, it is determined which geometry grinding textures should have with the aim of optimal noise-reducing properties. Subsequently, concretes are developed in the laboratory in which the cement type and cement strength as well as the maximum grain size, the sieve line and the packing density of the soil aggregate vary. They are provided with optimized grinding textures and are characterized and compared in terms of micro- and macrotextur. Then, three different binding textures are produced on a test track with four different upper concretes, which provide optimum noise reduction properties.
