Scientific monitoring of the test sections in composite structure during the operating period

Up to now, concrete pavements in Germany have been constructed as standard as non-reinforced slabs with dowelled joints. Alternatively, a concrete pavement can be designed with continuous longitudinal reinforcement (CRCP) and without joints. In this case, a continuous longitudinal reinforcement is arranged centrally in the neutral zone of the concrete slab.

In the context of the research project, eight trial and test sections in CRCP are being investigated in Germany and Poland:

  • B56 bei Düren
  • A5 bei Darmstadt
  • A11 bei Bernau
  • Erschließungsstraße bei Geseke
  • A94 bei Forstinning
  • A5 bei Bruchsal
  • Parkanlage Czestochowa
  • A4 bei Wroclaw

The results of the above mentioned tracks will be compared with standard designs in Belgium:

  • A11 / 49 Kaprijke
  • A3 / E 40 Leuven
  • A13 / E313
