Potential Social Benefits as a Result of Increasing Vehicle Automation

The aim of the project is the investigation of the potential social benefit by the increasing vehicle automation. The focus of the study is on the analysis of the potential for accident prevention and / or reduction of the consequences of an accident.
In addition, potentials for the reduction of fuels, pollutants and climagases are assessed and statements on the improvement of transport efficiency are derived. The analysis is carried out for different forecast horizons as well as different automation levels.
