Within the scope of the project, the traffic flow and traffic safety in workstations on motorways are analyzed empirically. For this purpose, comprehensive accident data as well as traffic data from permanent counts for work stations of longer and shorter duration are collected and evaluated in the context of the respective stretch geometric and traffic boundary conditions. In addition, traffic flow measurements as well as microscopic traffic flow simulations are carried out. The objective of the project is the derivation of standardized safety parameters, capacity values and Q-v diagrams for all combinations of the relevant influencing variables to be incorporated into procedures for the traffic assessment of workstations in the context of construction planning.
